What's on my dresser

The top of the dresser is a place that doesn't usually get shared on the internet, but I thought it might be an interesting one. Also, the top of my dresser is cleaner and better organized than, say, my desk. So here is your voyeuristic moment for the day:

Framed above the space is a collage of old family photos that my mother gave me for Christmas some years ago. One of these days I will put it in a frame that is not the opposite of all the other decor in my home.

The dark box on the left-hand side is my grandfather's humidor. I lined it with a silk scarf and keep my jewelry in there(besides the earrings on the tree at right).

Also visible: My favorite perfume (Lolita Lempicka), Hello Kitty bank, and my totally awesome Mary Tyler Moore earrings.

What do you keep on top of your dresser?

fickle percipitation

Yesterday the weather was so nice, it was very exciting! Murph and I went out for a walk and only wore cardigans. All the snow melted and it was hard not to feel springy and hopeful.

Of course today was a different story. We went to the public market to get our favorite veggie breakfast empanada and were greeted thusly:

Well, at least the empanadas were nice and warm.

Zzzzzzzzz.....

What a snooze-a-phone this blog has been so far. I will try to post more often and to actually write something as opposed to lists of video games and ice cream flavors, yawn! Another thing that makes a blog better- pictures! I don't have a very good camera, but I will try to do more of this, starting now!

Here's what breakfast looked like today:

Mmm, Rice Krispies with soy milk. Not pictured is my cup of ginger peach tea, which has been my go-to caffeine source now that I'm trying to cut back on the Diet Pepsi because of this study. You will notice that I also used this time to make a grocery list. When you can't predict how long the baby will nap, you gotta mulit-task.

In other news, I found an AMAZING card game at the thrift store yesterday:

The graphics are wonderful. I will probably give this to a friend of mine as a gift. He loves games and speaks French, and hopefully doesn't know about this blog yet.
